Employment opportunities

The Codrington School, the only International Baccalaureate (IB) World School in Barbados, seeks the services of qualified teachers for the following positions from August 2010. Applications are particularly encouraged from Barbadian teachers or from teachers who have the right to live and work in Barbados.

For all positions, applicants should preferably have IB training and/or experience at the appropriate level – PYP, MYP, DP. However, teachers who have the appropriate qualifications, a record of successful experience in teaching, and who are supporters of the IB’s approaches to learning and its learner profile are warmly encouraged to apply.

The successful applicants will each hold at least an initial degree in the area for which they apply – a master’s degree is preferred - and a teaching qualification. Applications will be neither acknowledged nor considered from candidates who do not hold both a relevant academic degree and a teaching qualification.
