Suzanne Soderstrom
 

Humanities middle school teacher

Suzanne Silvera-Soderstrom was schooled at Harrogate College, Yorkshire, England and then attended the Central School of Speech and Drama, London England where she obtained her teaching certificate and then graduated from London University, majoring in Education.
She holds a masters degree in Education with distinction from Framingham State College, Boston, U.S.A. and is at present pursuing her doctorate in Education at University of the West Indies.
A Constructivist at heart, Suzanne has taught English and Drama, History and Geography, in England, Jamaica, Trinidad and Barbados.
In Trinidad, she helped to launch the Character Education Program at the Canadian International School in Port of Spain, where she wrote special curriculum for teachers and provided leadership in monthly assemblies which featured character traits under study.
Suzanne has also been T.V.anchor of C.C.N. T.V.6 in Trinidad and produced and hosted her own interior design T.V. program, Home Sweet Home.
Suzanne is married to Lars Soderstrom, General Manager of CBC Barbados and has 5 children and 3 grandchildren
