Eliana Marcenaro

Head of secondary school

Eliana Marcenaro is thrilled to work at the Codrington school in Barbados. Born and raised in Lima, Peru, Ms Marcenaro has worked as an educator in the United States, Mexico and Spain in addition to her native country. She has more than 15 years of teaching experience with a broad age range (primary, secondary and tertiary levels), and has also worked for the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards, a US non-profit organization that seeks to raise the status of the teaching profession. She holds a bachelor’s degree (Honours) in Comparative Literature from Dartmouth University, and a master’s degree in curriculum and pedagogy from the Harvard Graduate School of Education.

Ms Marcenaro is a lifelong learner and looks forward to the future at this ever-developing institution.
